I've been a member of the forum for about two weeks, have been posting here and there, and suddenly realized I never truly introduced myself. I currently live in Pennsylvania, about half-way between Allentown and Harrisburg. I'm a native of Minnesota.
I have a '78 1115 Pacemaker 12-string that hadn't seen much light for quite a few years. I recently 're-discovered' it and became interested in searching out other "O" players.
After lurking for a short time I was drawn to the people of this forum for your wealth of knowledge and, just as importantly, your comraderie, friendliness and fun natures, and the way you care about and for each other. I'll have more to say about that within the next week. Don't want to turn this into a novelette.
See ya in the threads. |

Pretty sure he's talking about me here... oops. I should have clarified....'he' is 'she'. Watch out guys, the gals are gaining strength. :) ;) I'd give you my name, but then I'd have to kill you.
Are you anywhere near State College PA? I'm coming to a game in November and could use some local knowledge. I'm a couple of hours away. But I've never been there myself so I'm absolutely no help to you. |

I won't be selling anything. I don't have much and I tend to be a keeper. If I happen to buy anything, I will be sure to share...with pics. |

Ah, Manners... Asked to be excused from the table. Don't watch TV while you are eating dinner.
Don't interrupt someone's conversation. Respect your elders.
Wait your turn. Be Polite. Don't push or cut in line.
Say the magic words, Please and Thank You.
Nobody's done that since Bob Keeshan (Captain Kangaroo) died. |

Yes, we do seem to be gaining strength, and I'm glad of it. There have been a few times on the board when I have felt very much alone...but not anymore! :D
There are three of us Joisey-Goils (I'm roughly about 2 hours from you), and maybe some Saturday us female-folk could meet at my place here in western Jersey--I'm equi-distant from you and Willa. (Michelle, I know you're further away, but you are welcome to stay with me.) I don't have a lot of space (the living room only holds about 8), but plenty of extra guitars!
Glad to have you here to help balance the mix.

Depa07 welcome and Karen knows I'm just kidding.
Karen, How's the finger picking on the 12 string coming along? |

I thought I had extended a welcome to ya earlier in a buried thread. But I did a quick search and, lo and behold, notta...
So here's a shiny OFC Sunshine State welcome from an ol' fart. Looks like you'll fit right in here, in that you've put up with us thus far.
Take Karen up on her offer. There's nuttin' like an OFC member's jam!
Again, welcome aboard! |

As for a girl jam, well, maybe you menfolk won't feel quite so left out if we call it a "tea." I don't think we can squeeze too much of the East Coast on a 100' x 180' lot, though. ;)

O'Ken -- that's good to know. I'm further north than you, closer to Hazelton.
Jewel's Mom -- a girl's jam..ummm, I mean 'tea' sounds good to me.
Iffy-- you DID welcome me earlier in a buried thread. Ironically, it was the 'another way to tell you're getting old!" thread...Hmmmmmmmm. roflol |

It's the only exercise I get any more. Thanx to ya, I finally found that thread. At least I can remember what I wanted to do... now I need to remember that I actually did it! <checking zipper>
BTW, I broke one of my own rules: NEVER say 'buried' as an ol' fart! |
