Hey, just received my new XXX, changed out the strings, and I couldn’t be more disgruntled and disappointed with it. Angry? Man, I'm like totally livid. Wow, what a POS. Its in terrible shape, looks horrible, and is a real tone crapper. If the neck wasn’t so bowed, I might even be able get a decent chord out of it, particularly if the intonation wasn’t so screwed up. It goes right to the bottom of the list of my must-keep inventory. In fact, it isn’t even going on the list as I intend to get rid of this junker ASAP. Man, what was I thinking?

Both the Ovations I bought this year left me utterly gruntled and appointed.

Erm I hate to crash the party but hand on heart that's kinda what happened when I've received a few Os/As. My expectation exceeded reality.

Also in my limited experience (only owned one Taylor and never likely to part with it) they ain't so bad! Claro Walnut/Ebony/Spruce and TONE to die for....

Don't get me wrong, I love my round backs, but sometimes they aren't the right tool for the job at hand.

Each to his own. Oddly the only Adamas I've really liked (tone and feel) is the 1881 but the particular one I had wasn't quite right so sold it -- looking for another one now, weird huh?

Some guitars speak to you at a certain time so I continue to try and be open minded.

Too late, I already registered that site. But I took it down because Taylor threatened legal action due to the fact I had posted their logo along side various sizes, shapes and consistencies of dog excrement.

I heard this on the TV in the past week.
An animated dog said something like... "I leave more personality than that in curled up piles on the front lawn."

Is this a fact? Or a joke I'm missing?

Also, thought Fender bought Ovation... So we may see Mexican Ovations in the future.

I may be wrong, so don't flame me if this is wrong.

Sorry to hear about your not satisfactory purchase. Been there and it's not fun to realize you just bought a POS... Sucked for me... got rid of it and traded it for my Ovation.

Sorry berto, just a little 'in' joke of the sort we play here once in a while. The key was the thread heading "A post we're not likely to see . . . " around here.

We also pick on Taylor guitars a lot. Just for fun.
...and the owner of Gibson guitars.

It's part of the local culture. So: No politics, No religion, Pick on Taylor. If there's rules that's some of 'em.....

Got it... figured it was a joke, but had to ask.

I live by that... except the Taylor part... but with that said,

My buddy SWEARS by Taylors... the only Taylor I want to play with is Taylor Swift, but that's for another website... :)
