Location: UK | Surely didn't leave the factory like that - I'm guessing somebody using a hard pick strummed the hell out of it and wore holes in the top.
Puts me in mind of the 'car-bra' - Not a thing that caught on in the UK - we used to laugh when we saw them - always on a GI's car. |

Location: UK | I've seen a few guitars with big - and I mean BIG pick guards. Didn't Elvis have something like that on one of his guitars ? Martin make one just like it don't they ? Wouldn't that kill the tone ? surely it must. |

Location: Flahdaw | The Gibson Hummingbird pg is big enough, but they make one with a pickguard below AND above the soundhole....huge. Aren't those supposed to be "tone monsters"? I don't see how with all that top vibration deadening. |

I would like to see more rivets. |

Location: SW Washington | perhaps a beer bottle at high velocity made it through a hole in the chicken wire and the pick guard is to cover the damage and add structural support to the damaged area? |

I had to laugh when I read this in the ad...
"Has a hairline crack approximately 2 inches long on face near the bridge, small piece chipped off of headstock, some wear & the knob feels a bit loose but aside from that it is in good condition. Sounds like a dream."
HEL-LO!!! |

| My Tornado came with an over-sized, home-made pickguard screwed to it (think of the Batman symbol, or the big Gibby SG style). Removed it, but still haven't fixed the holes, or figured out how to, unless I find some larger-than-normal toothpicks, preferably spruce :( .
Not much of an issue on mine, but I could see it being one on any acoustic. |

HA HA HA
I'd ALMOST be willing pay the $50 just for the neck to hang on the wall and trash the rest of it but hell, it's broken too. |

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Hey, even with the ugly and the damage, I just bet this still sounds fantastic...it would make a great cabin/campfire/boat/war games guitar...at least these sellers are being honest: they paid $207 for it a month ago and they are providing much better pictures of the guitar... |
