Hey traviling Hartford to South Bend via train was quite pleasent. 25 hours of travel but it was not draggy. you get to see things you may never see like
Toledo!
Amtrak bagage handlers were gental with every thing. Trust them with your O.

Seriously, it's the most scenic and relaxing mode of transportation cross-country. Unfortunately, chances are ya can't get to 'there from here' anymore.

I was very disappointed in that I couldn't find a rail route out to Alison's next year.

Forty years ago, I was entertained on board by two gits, an harmonica and spoons while traversing the northern tier states to Chi town.
