Location: Ottawa, Canada | I know I'm probably driving you all crazy while I wait for the 1769 A11!! I went doen to Steve's Music yesterday which is where I originally first saw the 1769 in black. I was tempted when I first tried it and it seemed like a good price. They have it reduced to $1,888.00 Cdn with the OP-Studio Pro and case. Anyways I ended up finding one on line stateside brand new with warranty, store demo, for $1000.00 US. I traded in a guitar that I had so it has cost me $500.00 US plus shipping.
Anyways I went down to Steve's yesterday and sat and played that guitar for probably too long!!
It really is an awesome playing guitar.
Thanks for putting up with me gang!! :p |

I know the feeling though. When my Adamas II was in transit I was full of anticipation. When I finally got it I played it until my fingers hurt. Then I played it some more.
Hang in there! |

Be careful of ever elevating expectations. You might get yourself so worked up that you'll end up being disappointed even if it turns out to be the best AD-II ever made. |

Location: Ottawa, Canada | Ya, I agree, their website needs to get with the times. Not much info you can get from it the way it is! The new guitar is now in Concord Ontario with UPS and is supposed to be delivered to me tomorrow. Hopefully it arrives safe and sound. Keep ya posted!! |

Location: Boise, Idaho | While you're waiting, be sure to allow time for the guitar to acclimate to your home temperature. In other words, leave it sit inside for awhile in the box, then in the closed case, so the guitar comes slowly up to room temperature from freezing temps. The sudden exposure to temperature change is theoretically the major cause of finish cracks.
In your excitement, don't bring it in from freezing temperatures and open the case in a warm house. Some people have waited 24 hours, but I was never that patient, except for last year, when I decided to call the new guitar my Christmas present. |
