I recently bought an old 71 Fender P Bass. This thing is all original but was badly abused over the years. Trying to put her back in shape and all is well so far. Here is the problem! The headstock has a bad warp or twist from the nut to the top of the headstock. It doesn't affect the tuning or playability but I was wondering if there is anyway that I can fix it? It looks bad on such a wonderful relic. Any suggestions?

As a vintage p-bass player myself - 1965 - I say leave it alone. If it plays good and sounds good leave it be. If you must, take it to a professional for diagnosis.

vintage usually is preCBS.
I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for the reply! I'm thinking that I will probably leave the headstock the way it is. She plays really nice - even with the frets half worn out. Thanks again!!!!
