Do you think there is a thread on another guitar board somewhere commenting on what a bastard you must be for pulling a listing that they had bid on or may have been able to buy for 25% of market value ... and especially by the snipers who were all lining up even though they may not have bid yet?

I guess a seller can do as he wishes. But that's a very uncool move in my book. You should have just placed an outrageously high bid to ensure that you won it yourself fair and square and paid up the ebay fees as the cost of changing your mind.

dweezil - I hope you at least contacted the high bidder and explained why you pulled the item. I have been in the high bidder position a number of times when that happened and the only time I have gotten really ticked off was when the seller pulled the item and simply disappeared without saying a word.
