It's official there will be a new signature series Adamas and it is the Kaki King model.
similar to her's with the same sound holes single epaulet and shade of blue. Braces held on extra tight to withstand top tapping. 4K list price.

if you want one let me know I have a feeling this will be a limited run

Well, cool. It's about time.

Which shade of blue I wonder?

There's this one (sans the pink from her guitar art project I'd imagine:

Or this one that she was using earlier this summer:

Either way, it will be a unique guitar. And isn't it interesting ... the only two Adamas signature models both honor women artists ... how cool is that?

I like the eppys.
As much a tradition the leaf motif has been there is more that can be done.

I like them too. Kaki designed the cloud motif, I believe. We had three or four of her guitars at the 2006 SE Jam. Here's Popcritic and Samova:

The 12th fret inlay is a crown which looks very nice in real life. When she played Salt Lake, she had the black guitar, not the blue one. Is there there any difference other than color between them?

It would be an understatement to say that she is honored and thrilled that Adamas will issue her guitar as a "signature" model. I am so very proud of her. I'm also very grateful to the company for their unfailing support of her career. I also want to thank Al and Miles (and the entire OFC) for their interest in her as an Ovation endorsement artist.

I'm a little busy at the office at the moment, but I'll try to re-post this weekend with a few more details.

Finest regards to everyone--

Dave King

Other than the prestige (which is no small matter), what does an artist get for having a signature model named for them?

Kaki plays a lot of shows all over the world and thousands of people are witnessing some amazing sounds from her gear. Kaman obviously realizes that she's worth every penny they're paying for the rights to use her tradename. Way to go Kaki!

Ditto what prof says, she plays cool guitars...cooly (is that a word?). Nothing sounds like and Adamas and nobody seems to bring out the best in them better than her.

Right on! We've complained about Ovation being abandoned by all the male-heroes of yesterday (except a few like Di Meola). As usual, the women keep the family going. Sort of an Apolstle-plus-Mother concept!

I just hopped over to Al's website. The front page shows him playing acoustics and electrics, but no Ovations.
