I haven't said it for a while so for all those new folks...

I have to say the 1537 is one killer guitar! Got my -4 from Fugot and it gets better and better and better. Yeah, yeah it looks great but you just gotta hear the tone. Man alive! Some say it's sound like an orchestra, well they were right. It's built like a tank too. Is there a louder or more sonorous acoustic? I doubt it.

YUMMY!

Leaving those pesky strings off gives it a really 'clean' uncluttered look too :)

I really don't play mine that much since getting the 87C. I think I should sell it, then pick it up and play it. It's then that I realize I'll never sell it....

Maybe I'll borrow it for a couple years... or until you forget I have it... whichever comes first.

" Is there a louder or more sonorous acoustic? I doubt it. "

Joh , my 1537 sunburst , .. that sunburst lends " character " to mine .. :)

.. and soon I will mount 13 - 56 Newtone " Double-Wound " strings , ..
Do you know that English brand ?

A 1537 is a guitar you never regret buying. They have their very own mojo. The 1538s are great guitars too. I wish I had the cash for that 1547 that's for sale, they don't show up very often...

Had a family performance this evening, a mini concert.

Played the 1537 and everyone said WOW that s a lovely looking guitar and praised its tone too. So a few more Ovation converts :)

Couldn't agree with more, dweezil. I'm loving my recently purchased 1537! Definitely a keeper.
