The MM68 that Patch used to own had inlaid epaulets. Was this a custom order? Or were they made that way after a certain time?

TIA,

Mike

This one just popped up on eBay. It's got inlaid epaulettes, but they want top dollar for it.

Nice though.

I sold mine for $850 I think, and it was in perfect shape. Frankly, I wish I'd kept it, but I needed the money for Dave's Book Mando.

See? There's my problem. I just don't dream big enough when I am selling stuff.

In the world of mandolins 1200. is pretty much economy class.

Not dis'in the ovations at all. Fine instruments and a steal for the money. In the NOW (non ovation world) you can sniff 8-10k in a heartbeat.

I had a mint red one I sold about 4 years ago for $650 and at the time I thought I was lucky to get that. I know the fellow who bought it thought it was a steal at that price (and it most likely was!!!)

Earl (Tubby) had an MM-68 for sale last time I heard from him about a month ago. At that time he was only asking $700 and from the pics I saw, it was in pristine condition.
Great person to deal with also...
