I bought a used 1868 Elite about four years ago. When I acquired it, I noticed the part of the saddle (the low E) was popping out. I had it fixed but every time I plug the guitar in to play, the E and A strings are not picked up. It's not a big deal since I don't often play through an amp but it's just something that has nagged at me.

Now I want to fix it and I'm fairly sure it's the pickup that needs to be replaced.

Anybody have any recommendations? The serial number is 547948 if that helps. Will a Fishman pickup work? I don't have much experience with acoustic-electrics so I'm a little uncertain.

+1 on the welcome! And ditto again on what Iffy said--call the factory and get one from them.

Ya know, I seem to recall seeing Lifeson play a 1985 Collector in the video for "Mystic Rhythms" and a red Adamas II during "Closer To The Heart" in the P/G concert DVD I have.

Wow, "Something For Nothing" from 2112 just started playing on my Pandora station...

Good luck getting the pickup sorted out. Keep us posted.
