Stay safe and warm! |

Lets see what to do today....After I go to my guitar lesson I may take the arboat for a spin or grab the longboard and cruise by the beach to check out the waves. Even If there are no waves I can get some lunch and eye candy

That sure is a nasty system. Ya'll stay warm and off the roads! |

Our normal winters include an occasional cold snap, but they usually only happen once or twice a year and only last two or three days. This one has been going on for two weeks now! But the worst part is the condition of the roads. They haven't plowed yet and they don't plan to. |

I do have a great respect for the snow covered regions of this country because if it wasn't for you folks they'd have no place to take the photos for those christmas cards. Keep up the good work. |

In winter we suffer from the cold here, but in summer when all you southerners are suffering from the 90% humidity, I think the trade-off is worth it. As a smoker, I have cut way down the past couple of weeks. Outside for a few quick puffs, then back into the warmth of the shop. Just one more reason to rejoice in the cold.
See, if you try hard enough you can talk yourself into anything! :D |

One thing I like about it is getting up and building a fire in the fireplace and then sit and read the paper while I drink my coffee and watch CBS Sunday Morning. So Sunday I'm in the process and trip trying to avoid the dog and cat at my feet and fall into the armload of wood I was carrying.
I'm tired of having people ask what golf club my wife used on my face. |

I spent a week in the early 80's outdoor winter camping in the Boundary Waters of Northern Minnesota. Two pads between us and the ground with only a tarp overhead. One night the windchill reached 30 below. During the day wasn't too bad though, with proper clothing you acclimate to the temps. And the ice climbing was fun! But once was enough for me. |
