Location: Huntington Beach | Some I'm sitting there thinking and something doesn't feel right. Something got smaller. Could it be. Was I imagining things. It felt the same - but yes, it was definitely smaller than before!
Went to the cupboard and pulled out one from the old package to compare, and yes - toilet paper rolls are getting narrower. I don't know if the price was reduced as well. Maybe they should market it as the "slim version" for people with petite asses. New "easy to handle" size for your kids. "New smaller size improves aim and dexterity" |

Smaller size + Same price = Increase in profits
We consumers are too dumb and will never notice the difference! |

Remind me not to date her. |

Location: Tennessee | It's inflation. It always does this I. The second phase so as not to spook the concumer so bad. Tuna is now sold in 5oz cans ... used to always be 6oz. Luncheon meat now comes in 6oz and 10oz packages. Jars of spaghetti sauce recently went to 25oz from 28 oz. And not only is coffee 12oz instead of a pound, when you order it out, Tall isn't.
So it's just natural they made toilet paper rolls smaller. If you're eating less, you crap less.
I was thinking about that Sheryl Crow idea ... wouldn't it be even better if you had to use both sides? |

The thread was labeled "OT", so it doesn't have to have anything to do with guitars. Besides, it started with a discussion of toilet paper, so why are you even questioning it? |

That is why it feels squeezably soft. |

There now, we can drop that rabbit trail.
For every action (shrinking commodities) there must be an equal and opposite reaction. I offer the following:
It takes me 2 hours to watch "60 Minutes"
I have to wear my eyeglasses to watch "20/20"
It takes me a week to get in a good hour of practice.
And so goes Day 2 of 2010, the year we will be arguing over how to say it correctly until 2011! |

What did we do without TP
and
Who invented it?
Thomas Crapper invented the flush toilet, did he invent the paper to go with it? |

Sung to the tune from the TV show "Branded"
"Stranded, stranded on a toilet bowl
What can you do when you're stranded
And you don't have a roll
To prove you're a man you must use your bare hand..." |

Putting OT (off topic) at the beginning of the thread just indicates that it's not about Ovation Guitars. It infers it's still about Music or Guitars or musicians and such... but just off the topic of Ovation Guitars. |
