This has probably been asked a gazillion times already
(and maybe by me?
), but my memory has not been working well, so I'm asking again...
what kind of strings are put on guitars coming back from repair? and are they the same on all guitars?

Mother uses Dadarios.
I have to think that to some extent they use different gauges for different models.

If you want you can send them the "strings" you use and the will put them on for you instead of the D'Addario's.

It was probably an honest oversight.

I actually really like the feel and sound of the ones that came back on my 07 and 08 Collectors. That's why I asked.
