Standingovation CD
Much as I'd like to take credit, I can pretty much guarantee that it ain't me. Although I'm tempted to snag it just for the novelty. |

At the Ovation40th Party in L.A., Beal walks up t'me w/this guy & sez "Hey Cliff! . . Meet Larry!" . . and walked away . . .
"Larry" & I spent a goodly amount of time buying each other drinks and telling each other very sick jokes.
After close to an hour, it "hit" me, and I blurted-out "Holy Sh!t!! . . you're Larry Coryell!!"
He laughed & said "I USEd t'Be!!".
Looks nothing like he used to, but a VERY NiceGuy. |

Location: chicago | I seen Larry at the Jazz showcase inChicago and gave larry a Tape of a song I wrote called Burning Questions Suite.I ask if he could listen to it and he says wait here I will listen to it right now in my room comes down and gives me apretty cool review of my tune.Another time I seen Larry with another guy named brian keene in between sets they chose to sit in a room not much bigger than a closet and he let me and my brother watch them jam on thier Adamas guitars before the next set and he was taking requests. He is the influence for my ovation passion, the picture of him stetching 7/8 frets across his Custom LEGEND. |
