It is a difficult to construct, impossible to obtain, prohibitively expensive, featureless and arguably ugly guitar made entirely of carbon fiber that sounds incredible, and for which a few of us remain standing in line ready to slap down deposits on if the custom production light ever turns green. A few of us had the opportunity to play No.s 8 and 10 at Amelia last month and it just confirmed our previous opinions of this distinctive model.

If its the Q im thinking of...it never made it to production...I was able to see and hold the prototype and had my name in for one. It would have been an amazing model.

are there any chances to find an adamas q for sale or are the two from beal the only ones in existance.

there are a few out there but not many. I think DJ got one and I've got two and there must be another 2-3 or maybe even 4.

That's Q10 and the pic is from my house (& in my Gallery)

She & I spent a glorious Winter at my house one year when Beal was Bi-Polar (CT&FL).

She & I also spent the week t'gether at Amelia.

(sigh . . . )

I got to fondle her for a while during a wild weekend in Pirate Land. She's a Siren ... I shall evermore pine to hold her again.

Unfortunately for Ovation CA took the idea and made it a commercial reality though it almost bankrupted them. Their new models are the current state of the art in carbon. Probably not as good as Q but you can buy one which is an important factor.
