Location: Chicago | I was trying to link (plug in) a song on my OFC Ning page to a Facebook News Feed. I'd copy the long "embed" code and tried to paste. I kept getting "blocked" by a message saying I was denied by Adobe. Is there an easy way to say to my Facebook friends "hey, here's a tune, give a listen" and then have the link work? I don't have that many places online with my music so it's a puzzle of sorts.

Location: Utah | There's a way to put up a player on your own Facebook, but after several hours of trying it is still a mystery to me.
You can do a link to Myspace or Sounclick, I've done that in a Wall posting which then shows up on the Newsfeed to all of your friends.
So, try doing a Wall post and see if it will take the link. |

Location: Chicago | Thanks, Fly! I have posted links to MySpace but never figured out how to target ONE specific track (either there or the Ning site or SonicBids--another marketing site).
For my info: what use is the code that our Ning site generates for each track? Is that just HTML for the level of code on a website or what? |

Location: Newington, CT | The VERY easiest way: copy and paste the URL text somewhere on your Facebook page -- in a place where it won't move as time goes by -- then instruct visitors to copy and paste that URL text into their browsers.
Just a stopgap, but it should let visitors get there 'til you figure it out. |

Location: Chicago | That's not a bad idea! It's weird: in the past when I had a simple website, each track had its own URL which could be pasted into anything like a YouTube link. Surgical and simple. I seem to be stuck now with flash players which work as a "block".... |

Location: Tennessee | You gotta work around the ning site. I couldn't get to it in Internet Explorer, but it works great using Safari. Go to your ning page, and click on the little pencil in the bottom right corner of button your music panel (which bring up a edit music page), and then with your cursor over the play button of the song you want, right-click and "copy link". Then, go to your Facebook wall, click on the "add link" item right below your "What's on your mind" box, paste the link in there, and VOILA! |

Location: Chicago | OK, tried it but here's the rub: I can't find an "edit pencil" at the lower right: all I have is a panel with my songs on it (a flash panel, I guess). There is an arrow that allows me to "share" to see a "popup" (does not work) etc. Am I missing something?
Downloaded Safari... still struggling. |

Location: Chicago | Maybe I am not finding my music PAGE perhaps? Just a little panel with buttons? |

Location: Chicago | OK.. found the pencil, put the cursor over the play button but am having difficulty "grabbing" the link. I seem to get fragments: "play" or the name of the song.... |

Location: Tennessee | I went to your page and your song was there. One tip - you don't need to paste the address into the message ... Just in the box that pops up when you click "link". Then you can edit artist and album by clicking on the words. |

Location: Chicago | Thanks to all: this has been a very cool tutorial for me (didn't even know about Safari--and how weird that it will grab a link while the other browsers don't).
I'll try another tune soon and work the "link" angle you suggest. |
