Anyone use a slide/bottleneck on an Ovation, Applause or Adamas? What is the consensus on the type of slide to use - glass, brass, long, short, heavy, light, parallel, curved, bought or made from genuine bottle neck?

All depends on the feel, weight, tone you want. I use a HEAVY DUTY long brass one.

Take your guitar to a plumbing supply place and get them to cut 3" lengths from various pipes. When you find one you like buy 12 feet of that, get them to cut it up for you and you'll have enough slides to last a long time.

Or if you want to see what a blank stare really looks like, try it in Home Depot.

Just go into your tool box and get a 9/16" Deep Well Socket and go from there!

Larger if you have fat fingers...
