My first words will be to apologize because I only made 15 copies of this work.
It's a little bit expensive to make such a book and my greatest wish had to have the possibility to send one to every fan but it's not possible so I'm really sorry. :(
The choices I've made are surely arbitrary but I had to make a choice.
3 of these books should be arrived at the factory, 1 stayed in France, 1 is in Germany, 2 will be in UK in the next days and the rest are or will be in USA pretty soon.
As most of you knows that my English is not very good, there's no text inside the book and these ads are just presented as a sequence of the different models and innovations developed in the 40 past years.
The final result is nice to my eyes and I'm happy that the few whom have a copy love it.
Paul is right, there is copyrights on these docs and I've never won a cent (of dollar or euros... :D ) with every project that I've done because it's my personal vision of the way to live my passion.
If it change in the future, I'll stop immediately.
I'm lucky enough to have a job, a family, a roof and finally the possibility to live this passion and to share it with great people so that's enough to my eyes.
Until it will stay as this, I'm pretty sure that Fender or KMC will let me do funny projects like this one without making me troubles (I sincerely hope so...).
My poor English, the non commercial and amateur side of my work are the best keys to open the doors of the kindness of people and it works fine since 5 years that's why I'm really lucky!!
I've got an idea in mind but I need to ask to Al and Miles before to write it here.
I hope to be back soon with a solution if this idea don't comes against the OFC rules or against the law...

You have accomplished with OvationTribute what I had only hoped to do for the Ovation community when we started this site and my Solid Body/Storm site. I never had the time, nor is it looking like I ever will, so frankly I am your biggest fan for all the work you have done!!!!
On a side note... I don't have any problem reading your posts and emails and understanding them yet there are plenty of folks born here whose emails I have to have translated!!!! :) |

Your site is the "Wikipedia" for everything Ovation and promotes the cause and records the history of what we all love. |

Great work!!
Not that I know about these things but, I would think that doing tributes publications like this and generating enough income to cover your costs would not upset anyone.
But what do I know, I just used to sell jet fuel? |

Thank you both!!! :)
I'm surprised that some of you are interested with this book and it's really unexpected.
I can print another bunch of 15 or 20 copies in a soft cover edition of this book whom is a little bit less expensive as the price is around 35€ (47$US) shipping included everywhere in the world.
And I can offer it to you for free!!
If you're satisfied after you get your copy, you can make a donation with Paypal if you want to help me to cover the fees of the print but it's not obligatory!!
By this way, I'm not really selling the book and I respect a little bit more the copyrights of the Ovation brand. ;)
Some guys are selling on Ebay scans of catalogs burned on CDs and they don't have as much scruples as me but I'll not change now... :D
So, I'll work tonight on a special soft cover edition of the book because it needs to be slightly redone.
The cutting of the pages is not exactly the same because of the soft cover but the final result will be very very close to the hard cover edition.
I'll order a single copy to check the quality before to make the final print so it should take 2 or 3 weeks before to get it at your door.
Just send me an email to let me know if you wants a copy and I'll do my best to ship it to you as soon as possible.
Thank you all for your support, I greatly appreciate !!!
J :)
PS: Thank you Beal for your kind words, it's much more than encouragement to my eyes!! |

As a past recipient of amazing things from being on your mailing lists I have to jump in and ask to get on the list forthe softcover.
Paypal soon to come...
And this baits the question about FMIC/KMC partnering with you to make the next wave of History/Marketeering become a reality.
The next wave of success will have to embrace the past and present the future.
They should have you on Staff! |

I already have 15 orders for the book:
Stonebobbo, 2ifbyc, RNickels, Musicmishka, Timintidewater, Fletcher, Designzilla, ProfessorBB, Noah, Phil Wong, Marenostrum, Hwebster, Tafkar, Bburg and Mark in Boise.
I hope that I don't forget someone!!
I've had emails saying that some of you would prefer a hard cover edition.
My wish is to keep the first run of 15 as a "collector's edition" that's why I've offered a soft cover for this print.
If you really prefer a hard cover, I can make a "special reprint" without numbers and with some very small differences to keep the first one as a collector.
The final cost is more expensive (42.5€ / around 67$US) that's why I don't know what to do now...
My only wish is your satisfaction!!

In addition to myself, my wife (Suzie) is touched by Jerome's kindness and his skill/dedication.
This will be treasured...
On the back cover, Jerome says:
"It is also my tribute to C.H. Kaman and his son Bill and to all of the talented people from the Factory in New Hartford/CT for making among the best and most innovative guitars in the world!!"
Well said... |

I'm glad that some of you already get their copy.
They have been shipped last Monday and the first was arrived on Wednesday in USA.
2 days from France to USA is a record!!
The last copies should be arrived today or next week, it depends where you live.
Some of you asked for my paypal address, there's a link for making a donation at the right bottom of the main page of Ovation Tribute site.
Thanks to all of you whom already have made a donation, I greatly appreciate your help to cover the cost of the print.
I've got 2 orders more so I'll make another print because the 20 first copies are already gone.
Don't hesitate to ask if you want one, it's never too late. ;)
As this week end will be the first to be sweet and very sunny here in France since October, I will have some rest and playing guitar in my garden.
I wish you all a very nice week end.
