They sound different, but they both sound Nice.
Not much help, huh? |

Location: GATLINBURG TENNESSEE :) | Both sound great, but I believe there tends to be less bellying and top instability/warpage with the LX bracing. I COULD be wrong on that, but I haven't seen any problems with the LX yet.
... Anyone here have some illustrations of all the various bracing patterns (Ovation and non-ovation) they could post? |

Location: Upper Left USA | The only issues with the LX I have seen in the last 4 years is 3 episodes of insufficient glue on a brace and a piece of dust under the finish (should arrive at my house tomorrow!).
The finish doesn't crack and the necks don't "hump" at the 14th fret.
All other issues are Operator malfunctions. |

Nice Illustrations ... Thanks! (any "quintad?") Woody's image of the Adamas-style bracing is 'Quintad' bracing... More-or-less. |

Not much help, huh? Comparing Quintad braced Thunderbolt
Is warm sounding
LX Braced is bright sounding.
Quintad braced is better for rythem
LX for lead.
