If the features are the same, not much other than the GC was made for guitar center.

The Elite T went through some changes
Op 30 with a thinline pick Quitad bracing.
K-bar neck

Later
The were LX models with op-pro x bracing.

If the features are the same and both made in USA
Only difference is one was made for guitar center.

Are talking about the red flamers? There were some cosmetic differences and several iterations. Older ones were Op30, newer OpPro. The older were definitely not LX bracing. The newer were an orange flame, the older a red flame.

In the 1778T-RF some had a shiney flame painted bowl, I don't think any of the GCXT-RF had that.

The GCXT red flames that I've seen were all the modern LX style neck but made of maple, not a 5 piece laminated striped version like you would find on a 1778LX.
