| I was wondering if anyone would be interested in having a gathering in September. There is a good possiblity that I will be in the Syracuse area on September 9th and 10th, and thought it might be nice to have a gathering on that weekend.
If anyone is interested, please PM me and maybe we can get something going!

I don't know who else is out in central/western NY though.

Location: Boise, Idaho | C'mon you bunch of Eastern weenies. What do you mean it's too far? 3 or 4 hours is nothing. That's about 30 miles in LA. Albany and Syracuse are right next to each other. Portland is 6 hours for me in the Honda, 432 miles. 300 miles round trip is a nice drive. Just drive faster. |

Syracuse isn't too bad a drive from where I am (about 3.5 hours).

Location: Boise, Idaho | Just giving you guys a hard time. I realize that it's harder to drive when there are other cars on the road. I've also driven from here to San Diego without stopping except for gas. About 13 or 14 hours. It was a great trip until a Nevada deputy sheriff interrupted my solitude on the way back. |

Jam back in Sept. It was tough doing it alone.

Michelle, Albany is 1 1/2 hours max for me. Why not have a Gathering there?? ;) |

| Grrr...I just found out that the date for my group meeting may (the key word is may) be moved up to September 7 and 8.
I am still planning on having a gathering that weekend of Sept. 10-12. Just don't know where it will be yet. Could be in the 'Cuse area (definitely not downtown!).
Bob's suggestion of Albany is looking good, although Lake George and Woodstock could be fun.
Any suggestions/help would gladly be appreciated!

I have a feeling that organizing a get together is like trying to herd cats!

Been to Syracuse a few times when my brother went to the Univ., Been to Lake George a few times. I work for the the people up in Albany although I've never been there. I could probably take pictures because I can't play guitar. Just like the OFC Tours. |

I never thought of Albany as a OFC gathering place although I work in Albany. I guess it is because I really take Albany for granted.

| Whadda think about these candidates for a gathering:
Syracuse (burbs, definitely not downtown)
Fingerlakes Region (Ithaca or Lake Owasco -- stayed at places in both areas)
Saratoga
Lake George
Albany
Woodstock (the Woodstock museum is about an hour drive from there)

Well, that's what I'm trying to do, which is to see what would be best or easiest for the majority. But I'm having trouble doing that -- the brain doesn't seem to want to work today.

Location: Boise, Idaho | I'm sorry that Patriot didn't come with all my Croce songs in it, Michelle. I tried to send a dvd along. I practiced for days, spent hours setting up and getting ready. I even made sure I didn't have a gay shirt on like dark bar. It takes me a long time to figure out how to use the camera, since I don't use it much. I tried to find a remote starter for it, but couldn't. During my sound check, I flubbed the intro to New York's Not My Home and decided to just box up the damn guitar and ship it. I hope that all you folks enjoy that guitar as much as I did. It plays as well as my 1537, which is excellent, but it has more of the traditional Ovation sound that I really like. |

| Well, Mark, I have a feeling that the Patriot will get passed around at an OFC gathering as much as a new baby at a family reunion. Or a bottle on a tour bus :D
No problem about the Jim Croce songs. I'll just have to learn them for myself!
