I just went looking on their site, and they ain't even got them listed in any way-shape-or-form anymore!
But Art, ("I am your sales engineer at Sweetwater"), told me that they would get them on May 11th.
I realize that that is Mothers' Day, but that's what he said.
[But my 2058T is on the Truck! :D ] |

He recommended that I "Tell All My Friends"... So I did.
They are all gone now, but I got one coming...
And so do a few other OFCers. |

I think Brad got the 'sample'... |

I think I remember them saying the 16th of May or so. Not sure. Everybody just relax. They will be here soon enough.
On another note, I just ordered a new Composite Acoustic 7i (GX with an offset sound hole ala Mcpherson) in tobacco burst finish. That one is due in about 6 weeks, hopefully.... |

Is it really a Koa "Elite T".
Isn't the point of an Elite T that it is a stripped down, painted, Elite. Wouldn't a "Koa" Elite T, then in fact be a stripped down "Elite."
I think I'd rather have one of these..

I can blame the Trader-Man... I was just trying to get the 2058T 12-string on the cheap, and he says
"Have you seen one of These?!"
Later on in Life, I will take it out in front of people who have never been to the OFC, and they will be impressed! :p
Be nice if it had a VIP, Miles... But!
PS-- Art Hill sez I'm #3! |

Location: Tennessee | Miles, this particular version under discussion just has a Koa epaulette over the bass side holes. The rest of the guitar is pure T with the texture paint finish, maple neck, etc., including a contour bowl. SlipKid got one a couple of weeks back and posted this picture:

Psst.. hey pal... yeah you, da guy wit da funny lookin' guy on your shirt. Ya wanna buy a guitar outta my trunk? |

I got the itchy eyes to show for it.
The KoaT performed quite well at Folkin' Friday a couple days ago.
Meant to have a couple pictures taken... but forgot camera. Geez... sounds like a Boise excuse.
There was a Roland rep there. Brian & I talked to him for a while. And guess what??? I didn't even get him fired!!
And BTW...
on second thought, I'll start another thread. |

I got the itchy eyes to show for it so, when do the branches come out, and what will happen to you to show for it then? |

Location: big island | the textured top on these elite T's offer a very nice sounding brush percussion that i get by extending my fingertips to make contact with the top while strumming. sounds quite nice with certain strum styles. |

Location: Tampa, FL | I ordered mine a couple weeks ago, and a guy called saying that I was number 11 on the list, and they were only expecting 10 more before production ended. Here's hoping that a credit card doesn't go through.
And this sucks, because I was getting it as my guitar for the rest of my life, as a gift for my graduation. Damn.
Does anyone know where I could get something to attach to the guitar like the Koa if I have to buy a non-SW 2078T?
Thanks. |

Easy does it. If it turns out that you do miss out on this one, the next "can't pass it up" type of deal is right around the corner.
Stick around here... keep your ears to the ground, and I'm sure something will come up that will be just as cool.
And if nobody else has said it yet, welcome.
P.S.
Your name is really, really hard to type.
If you keep it the same, expect to be reffered to with some kind of nick-name real soon. |

Thanks. well...i am not sure if it's gonna work or how it's gonna look, but i have one of these on the way. i think the abalone will look nice against the black top. i don't really want to just glue it on, so i may get inventive with my dremel and inlay the epaulet, if possible. i'll keep everyone posted. |

As for me and a dremel ... NFW. |

i've considered that option also. it will be best to decide once i have it in hand. i'm hoping they've got the holes aligned properly...
and i want to maintain the top's vibration as much as possible. |

A) Scratching their head in disbelief over the response to the KoaT
and
B) Wondering how many more EliteTs they would have sold if they had done this two years ago. |
