The website that Guitar Player Magazine is using to host their competition doesn't work very well...It's unstable and has a tendency to crash at crucial moments...as you'll see further down in this post.

First: You have to buy a "token" (25 smackeroonies!!!) to enter the contest. So, I decided to do that.

After entering all my credit card information, etc., the confirmation page crashed and I figured I had to start all over. Went through the whole process again. Yep, you guessed it...I ended up with two "tokens," and only one video to contribute to the contest. Hence, I put together another video hastily and posted it.

It's here .

** sigh **

An upside to this is that a nice Ovation 1118 12-string and an Adamas 2080 make their debut in the contest! That makes three O's and three A's so far in the contest!

An additional funny note: My cat saunters nonchalantly through the video from time to time...

Again, your comments are welcome.

I happened to listen to a few of the entries on the site and quickly realized that I had no business entering any of MY stuff in that contest even if it was free, much less throwing $25 down a rathole.

Thank you so much, Michelle and Meuti. Please don't forget to listen to and vote for Greg (dobro) Dobrov in the contest. He has a really beautiful piece in the contest called "Guitarfire."

Dobro really deserves to win the grand prize.

It's right here .

Alan, will do. But after hearing the three of you guys play, I'm really terrified of doing open mikes, etc.
