Location: Illinois | Well, I promised Bernie I'd post pictures of my Folklore when it came in and it arrived today ahead of schedule I might add! The folks at the Ovation Custom Shop did a great job in it!
I didn't do too much in the way of "customization" but I had the action lowered just slightly more than stock and the frets leveled and dressed, bone nut installed and most important the tobacco burst finish applied.
It looks, feels and plays great!! I was told by the folks at Ovation that this was the only Folklore 2774LX that they've put a burst on to date. So for now this is the only one like it in the world.
The pics don't do it justice but here they are anyway.....Thanks for looking.

I must say that's an unusual 'O' burst.
Now wear it out! |

If you get a chance, could you post pics of the back of the neck and headstock/machines?

Location: Germany, where delicious wine is growing (Rheinh) | Hi John,
thank's for posting this nice pics. It is a really beautiful guitar, congratulations. I hope it sounds as good as it looks, absolutely an eyecatcher.
I'm looking for one, too, but used I found no one showing up for sale in Germany. I think they are very rare and new also a little expensive. So the hunt goes on.
I'm working on a new "project", I've bought very cheap last week and I'll post some pics of it when it is finished.....

Please be sure to give us a full review once you've had a chance to bond with this beauty. |
