Thanks for asking Iffy,

I am truly impressed with modern medicine! I was off the pain meds in four days. A day later, I could start taking the sling off for short periods. I can already raise my arm almost level to my shoulder without discomfort. And for short periods, I can prop my arm on my desk and type out far-too-lengthy responses on guitar forums with both hands. :p

The stitches might come out tomorrow. Though I won't risk slinging a guitar strap over that shoulder any time soon, I hope to try a little playing while sitting down in the next several days. Wish me luck.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, and thanking everyone for their well-wishes during this very unusual summer.

Thanks again everyone! :D
