| Well that's easy as I've only got the one Ovation.
1975 1621-4 which I bought new.
I keep coming back to it as my main guitar because I like the sound and it suits my voice better than the wood boxes that I have.
I should probably start looking out for another one as a spare - I kinda regret not buying the one that OMA sold awhile back as it looked like a good example. |

My UTE sat unplayed for a good 3 months as least. Just 3 days ago I started playing the ol' 79 Balladeer which has not been played in quite a while.
I switch for whatever reason and enjoy re-discovering the next guitar in line. |

When I'm home, I switch around with everything I have with the exception of the 12 CL, I don't play it much cause it's the only one.
When I do play it, I love it though :) |

(I love my FUD wideneck, and my 1681 is as close as I get to the 1680 that makes me drool every time I see it. What a sound from those two!!!) |

| Depends on my mood, but the 2 most often are the 1687 and the 87C, with the 08C virtually tied for 2nd. |

Early Breadwinner neck (the one with the narrower front to back profile).
Has a good amount of versitility. |

I bought it for a REALLY good price and figured I'd use it for a travel/beater guitar. Then, I realized how nice a guitar it is, and promoted it to a regular player. I guess you can't go by price to determine the travel guitar! |

Did that for a couple months until I took the LAV Koa to the Black Hills and it was the main one for a few weeks till I got the 2010 and it's been the main one since. I try to spread it around. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | Our band has gone to playing a lot more really upbeat stuff requiring a dirtier electric sound, for which I've been primarily using the VXT, but I forgot to add that for weekly rehearsals, I keep two guitars in the bandroom on site so I don't have to haul gear back and forth. My rehearsal guitars consist of a 1567 SSB for acoustic and the UKii for electric, both oldies with a combined age of 53 years, but goodies nonetheless. |

Location: Hot Springs, S.D. | I couldn't decide, so I made a list of things one would look for in a guitar (playability, tone, bass, treble, volume, weight, looks even.) I rated the six 6-string acoustics that I own. (I didn't count the 12 string or the UKII ;) )
It came out that the OFCI JUST beat out the LX and the cutaway Adamas, which tied for second - by only one point.
I think my goal is to find one that combines all of the things I consider number one. I want the bass and playability of the cutaway Adamas. I want the sparkly trebles of the LX. I want the lightweigt comfort of the contour bowl. I want the op-pro electronics.
Guess I'll just have to keep buying more until I find it! |
