See Sword by the Door? :p

Okay, sitting down it is fine. Standing with strap it is... Different.
But it is Nice. But it is not quite what I am used to.
But I mostly play sitting-down anyway.

It arrived In Tune, except for the High G... It was tuned down to high D.
And it came with a New version of the Manual... WITH COLOR PHOTOS!
I also got a real TR wrench, instead of that Dollar Tree special.

But the new sticker Sux! I wanted one with the factory on it!

But I am Quite Satisfied!

It plays very Nice. I gotta find-out what size strings they put on these things when they are New.
I got EJ36 and EJ38... Same gauge, 'cept one is Bronze and one is Phosphor Bronze.
I doubt I will need to change them for awhile... But I don't know, I will be playing this alot!

[Don't take this wrong, cuz I ain't complaining...]
My 1115-HB Pacemaker is still Louder! But Aren't They All?
But the neck is nicer on the Elite T, not as flat across the back.
So it feels slimmer, (although they are both 1 7/8")...
I haven't played them side-by-side... Maybe later.

It is nice!

Oh, Stoney... It sounds very nice. I have not plugged-it-in really, just for a few moments to be sure it works. Just been doodling around, Hotel California, Nights in White Satin... Oooh gotta do Lucky Man! :D

Last of the Summer (USA) Wine.

glad to hear you really like your 2058T. During the blowout prices I picked up a new 6751LX and a new 2058T. After a weekend of A/B'ing the two unplugged and plugged in (and asking a few people for a "listen only...no looking" opinon), the clear winner for tone AND unplugged sound projection was the 6751LX. This really shocked me as I figured the deeper contour bowl, the bass side sound holes, and the ebony fretboard would have made the 2058T the "on paper" winner, but in this case it didn't so back to Music123 the 2058T went :(

Hey Hollowskull! You dissin' my contour 12?

That does not surprise me... My 1115 is definitely louder (more projection) than my new 2058T.
Earlier thread, I asked what sting gauge they installed at the factory.
Lanaki said that his new 2078T did not sound as good as he expected, and he was not happy! :(
Then he changed the strings and was happy again! :D

I am guessing that you tested both guitars with factory strings.
Personally, the only stings for a twelve that I have on hand are the same gauge as the EXP's that I was told that were put on my 2058T at the factory. (some people don't like EXP's either)
Since I am poor, I am going to wear these strings out alittle before I change them.
(Which should be soon since I play it every day!)

But I am hoping for an improvement. I don't have a mid-depth 12 to compare it to (sold the CC255) but I expect a change one-way-or-another.

As always, I will let everyone know how it works-out.

The one you've gotta keep runnin across the stage with, to make the flames go the right way? :p ;)

I must say, I'm really warming to these 'stealth' Ts. Good excuse to buy a 12.

Any reason is a good reason! Everybody should own at least one 12...and preferably an Ovation or Adamas!
Very Nice! Arthur, you're all set now! Congrats!

no dissin' of your guitar from here, I totally dig the looks and value of the 2058T's (like I said, I totally expected my 2058T to spank the slightly pricier 6751LX, but every individual guitar is different). I'm just saying my 2058T didn't turn out to to have that "that's the sound I want to hear" 12-string sound when I played it that I was hearing from my new LX 12.

You're correct though, both guitars I tested were brand new straight out of the Ovation box models with the factory strings still on them. I too assumed the T's spruce top would open up in time, but I figure spruce top on the LX will also open up as it ages...so I judged on the tone right now and not what I guessed it would be like years from now. I just wish I was in the position to have kept them both :(
