Even though I can't afford to buy anything, I troll E-Bay for O's a lot.
I'm HOPING to win one nice and cheap for my Son that I've bid on ending today.

Oh well...
C'est la vie.
Um...
Lemme know if you decide to move it OK? ;) :) |

I seen that on e bay but the pics didn't look that good. congrats on the rescue Mike. I had to sell my 12 string when times got a little rough around here, but I bought an Applause 12 string for $100 so that will just have to do.
Way to go |

Not giving them away but very reasonable.
I was watching but my GAS fund is almost non-existant.
Very good get! |

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | The seller (Steve) promptly contacted me and gave me some history on this guitar...he seems to be completely honest and straightforward...he bought this direct from someone most of us know at the factory along with several other guitars over the years...it has never been played and has remained in pristine condition...I will be happy to take much more detailed pic's when it arrives later this week...I have to say that finding guitars like this is icing on a cake...I can't wait to play it...more later... |

I wonder, which one of the "books" is the rarest?
Must be the mandocello, followed by bass and longneck? Does anyone know exactly?
Best regards,
Kurt |

Who/What is Ovation Rescue Inc.? Bobbo: It's a very small organization/group/mission dedicated to seeking and saving the lost/missing/misguided Ovation/Adamas guitars in the world one guitar at a time...It is what it is...
I gotta believe that old Martin is getting pushed to the back porch. No, Brad, it's right here and quite content... ;) |

My guess would be the bass.
Rumor has it that there is "ONE" 5-string bass in existence. |

There is also one Book Viper 12-string, which would qualify it as pretty rare. |

Location: Munich, Germany | So, the 5-string bass and 12-string Viper should be the two most rare.
I did not see a 6-string Viper till now as well, I think.
Thanks, guys!
Best regards,

I was looking at it also, but I don't care for a 12 string in anything but a deep bowl. |

As for rarity, I doubt you will find another for sale any time soon...I only know of perhaps one other...but I do know this one's pedigree... |
