Just checking to see if this is a joke, cuz it looks an awful lot like one of these...

That is a 1778TX-5 with the trademark Celebrity bolt covers (only black)

Wow, that was fast.

The resonator - looks like a classical neck (2" nut)? CF or wood top? Biscuit?

Put a broccoli slothead and 1-3/4 nut on that first Adamas 1 and that would be my custom order if I won the grand prize on the video lesson contest...

If I had been there I would have been too busy playing them to take pictures. Looks like some really neat guitars.

So when does that woodtop 12 string arrive at CasaDelWitko?

I see a few of them that in days gone by, those puppies would be mine!

What did the wood topped Adamas 12 string sound like? And how did they define the color of it?

Ooo, that wood top 12 wasn't at the show I hit. I think the rest were. Would have loved to have had a couple of minutes with that one. Was that a cedar top, Al? The two Adamas 1's were incredible and were constantly in players hands in Buffalo.

Congrats on a great event Al!

Are these all one off guitars or are they going to be production models?

Also, pardon my ignorance on this, but what are the advantages of the suspension ring and the hand laid bowl? Does it make a difference in the sound?

Great pictures Al.I was there. They sounded great. By the time I got there the place was packed so I didn't get a chance to shoot them.

You are the OFC Member Of The Year !!! UTFSB !!!

I only say that because I don't really know the answer. Seems the suspension ring allows an attachment of top to bowl that has quite a bit more "life" to it that s standard glue job. I liken it to springs on a trampoline and it's probably the reason that Adamas guitars have such ring and sustain to them. As far as the bowl I'm not sure there is a scientific explanation and it might just be coincidence but all of the BEST sounding models I have owned over the years have had the fiberglass bowl so I'm just sticking with the story that it DOES make a difference.

Sorry Dave, I emailed you about the 12 string prices before reading your post, then found out farther down that they were sold. THAT SUCKS!

(Phil probably snagged them both)

Anyone willing to say what they went for???

Think of it this way ... if they built ONE, then they can certainly build ANOTHER.

If Alpep bought all the guitars, what are SlipKid and KitMann going to get to play & see?

I couldn't help but notice that the Adamas 1's had outies ... and the woodtop Adamas 2 has the carved bridge. Definitely one-off guitars all the way ... whoever scored these done good.

The wood top sounded very warm.
Warmer than regular Adamas top.

I think all cutaways have outies, don't they?

Also looks in the photo like the WOTAT (WOod Top Adamas Twelve) has a truss rod cover. Not k-bar neck?

The woodtop 12 is definitely one I would have liked to have listened to and played.

The reso is on my radar. Don't know why.....just want an expensive wall hanger I guess.

Can't tell from the pic what headstock the WOTAT has but it looks like all the Adamii have the ANS for neck reinforcement. All seem to have the single screw of the new truss rod cover.

As to the outties vs. innies, all I have to say is that with the outties, Witko should buy one or more of these. They fit his image.....
