Location: Seymour, Tennessee | A gracious member here sent me another well traveled copy of the Book and I've finished reading it.
The owner asked I make a post to see who might like to get it next.
This is a different book than Seesquare's book that'll be on it's way to me following a stop in Ireland.
I wasn't trying to be greedy in getting this second book sent to me, but it was offerred for me to look at while I waited on the other one, and of course, I jumped on the opportunity.
I have some unique plans for the other one so that is why it is still going to come my way after it is finished visiting across the big pond.
Same deal with this book as the original, get it, take some photos with it, sign it, and play it forward.
I'll send it out to whomever asks first.
Awesome reading, I'd been waiting a long time to get a chance to look over one of these! |

| Can we identify which of the two original books this is?
If it has water damage to the front cover causing a couple of the sigs to be illegible (particularly moody's) then that was the one that made it to England about 3 or 4 years ago. |

Some of the names I can decipher are : Jim Lentz, Beggin, Slydog, Trader Jim, Capo Guy, Fillhixx, Damon, Mark in Boise, ProfessorBB, MWoody, Muzza, Aussie James, Flacky, Beal, 2ifbyc, TRBoy, War Eagle, Capt. Lovehandles, G8R, Serge, Challoway, Ozwatto, BT717, Jon Bundy, Crimson Lake, Iffy, Me, etc. |

There are some stickers and postcards from along the way tucked inside it. Most recently it was at Canterburystrings' Rocky Raccoon Memorial Jam this summer. I have no idea who started this book on tour. |

Mark:
I was gonna have it until the middle of next week, I'll just hold onto it until you send the postcards to me.
I still have to make up a CD of pics to go with it anyway, that will help me deal with my poor komprooter skills that'll invariably pop up while I'm trying to transfer the pics.
Lets do that then, Mark, send the postcards to me, once everything is buttoned up, I'll send it along to standing.
I'll pm you my mailing address.... |

By the way, you crossed my mind a little while ago, I saw an old Matrix hanging in the "Needing repairs" section of a guitar store I went into today to get the strings replaced on my 87C.
(I know, I know, having somebody else change my gitar strings is rediculous. The truth is I CANNOT do it, the sound of the strings going through the bridge to me is like nails on a chalkboard is for some folks)
Anyway, the bowl wasn't bad, the binding wasn't bad just yellowed, a bit of wear on the fretboard and head, but the top was pretty rough, long finish cracks (maybe 5 or 6 of them) but nothing through the wood.
I may go back and offer 'em $30 or 40 for it just for grins.
They had a beat up Applause too but I didn't take too close a look at it.
Knowing you like beat-up broke guitars (but possess the ability to revive them) just made me think of you when I saw 'em. |

Look at the Applause too. Applesauce is good for you! |

You'd probably only be able to fill them with bondo :)
If I can get both of 'em cheap enough I will, if this guy thinks he's on a pot of gold, they can continue to collect dust in his store :) |

(Refer to the other book post)
That way he doesn't have to wait for it to wade through us before going to him.
I have plans for the other book but they would actually be better served if that copy went to Miguel 1st so it would come to me when I'm back home in Tennessee rather than here in Virginia.
I pm'd james allready, "this" book will go out to him Monday or Tuesday. |

Carol will have to get in touch with ksdaddy or vice versa when it is closer to leaving ksdaddy so they can make arrangements but I think the Ireland-Brazil-Tennessee leg will work out just fine. |

The only thing I remember at this point is that I signed it on the inside of the cover "James F. Smith" (and asked all that followed to do the same). I sent it to an address in FL.
But I have no idea if this is the same book or not. I'd love to get it back just to see where the heck it's been all these years.

Actually, I'm not sure I ever saw one other than the one at Alison's last summer. I have my own. If there was one going around with Jeff W's wooden roundback, I passed it down to Gallerinski or the alter ego that was living in his house at the time. |

Well, where ever the book is, it certainly has a lot of miles on it by now. |
