With all the press about "Don't ask, Don't tell" I have come to the point where I don't want to hide it any longer.

My name is Mike and I want to play the Banjo.

So in my local Craiglist under Banjos here is what a Seller had to say about a case:

"Comes with the original semi rigid case which has been meticulously covered with contractors duct tape for strength, by a previous owner. Also comes with extra strings, strap and a pick."

Ya can't make this stuff up. I tell ya!

....You do know that the guitars on either side of the banjo are now ruint! :D you'll only be able to play Bluegrass/Country music on them from now on!

The other two (Legend & Viper) are in danger also, since they are attached to the same board holding the hangers (bleed-thru)....In fact EVERY guitar in that room is in danger unless you isolate the banjo in another room! You got a basement? ...............

edit: Not that there is anything wrong with that!

When you throw a banjo and an accordion into the dumpster, which makes more noise?

An Optimist.

OK, Al, probably want to lock this thread... I'm feeling the love.

So I'm able to play 3 chords and I'm working out the alt and forward rolls. Thank you all for your gracious acceptance and continued support.

I'll let you know when I sell all my guitars...

It just occurred to me that if your local Craigslist has a separate heading for Banjos, you have an even deeper problem. I didn't realize they filmed Deliverance in the Northwest.
