count for OStock in Woodstock 10/23/2010. I need to know just how many books to print out, etc.

So far, it looks like:

Myself
AlanM
Weaser (possibly)

However, I believe in "the more the merrier". Going to an Ovation gathering is a chance to try out some really nice guitars (and meet some really nice people).

I'm bringing the 02 Collectors and the Patriot, so if you have never had the chance to try one of this guitars, it would be a good time to!

WOW....can't believe only a couple have committed!

These unofficial OFC gatherings are great and I would attend every single one of them if I could.

I can't believe people up in your area aren't tripping all over themselves to be there.

I know Weaser has talked to me numerous times about how he is REALLY LOOKING FORWARD to this one and hoping he will be able to make it.

I hope he can make it and represent me in spirit!

Well, actually some did want to come, but life has gotten in the way.

There aren't many of us OFCers in NY anyway.

Even if it looks like its going to be a small group, I would encourage people to come. I think that there were only 5 or 6 of us at Karen's gathering last year and we had a blast! I guess it isn't the size of the group that matters, it is the kind of people that show up that matters.

The nice thing about this gathering is that the fee the church charges for the use of the hall will go to their Young Artists fund. So there is already some good that is coming out of this!

I hope that Weaser, AlanM (and others can make it)! I have something special for those who do show up (it's a surprise).

BTW, I was just in Woodstock last week. It was absolutely pretty there.

Well Wease can carry a gathering all by himself with his vast knowledge of songs and playing skills.

It's fun to sit back and just watch him go at it!
I hope he can make it and show you a few things that I know you would enjoy.

Sometimes all you need is a thimblefull.

Remember, Grannie Clampett "never drank more than a thimbleful" of her "rheumatiz" medicine. :)

And a thimbleful of music knowledge will still be more than some people have (not talking about the members here of course).

Just giving this the old Woodstock Bump. So far it looks like a power trio!

I just bought a new F-150 that needs some miles on it but I doubt that I could get a passport in time.

Cool -- it would be great to have you! I'll pm you with directions. The time is 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m at St. Episcopal Gregory's Church in Woodstock and then over to the Woodstock Invitational Guitar show.

How long does it take to get a passport? I remember the days when you could go to Canada with just a birth certificate.

It's been a few years for me also but I thought a valid ID and Birth Certificate were usually adequate for our brothers from the north.

Birth certificate or not I'm more worried about getting back in because these liberal wimps up here would be more than happy to get rid of man like me..lol

I think you have to have a passport or some kind of enhanced driver's license now - which, considering the way things are going, isn't a bad idea.
