I DO love a good wideneck! And I love a nice 12-string, but NOT because of the wideneck; rather because of the different sound.
This -- the hypothetical Adamas 7-stringer -- might be the ultimate wide-neck! |

| And I'm thinking that even with nine there isn't an extra bass string - it's just a twelve with three strings missing. |

Speaking of loving things, that's the second Ovation 9-string I've seen pictures of, and I would love to get my hands on one. |

It just has two more too, that's all.
I'll bet it was a "You buy this 7-stringer, and we'll t'row in two more -- for FREE!"
kinda thing. |

| To get back on topic (my apologies) a seven string is exactly the kind of stock guitar Adamas should be offering.
Most archtop makers offer a seven string as a simple upgrade when you order and increasingly classical guitar makers do (with a 2 1/16" neck). And it's not difficult to find 7 string flat tops.
Let's start a petition. |

(or is it like MM's where the 7th is actually 3 strings?) |

Either that or you play it with your sixth finger. It's one or the other. |

Your mistake, Waskel, was in thinking that this is a zero-sum game; that the additional "Pick on Beal (aka 'Gandalf')" internet traffic would cause the "Pick on Alan" traffic to diminish from its current server-melting-cache-killing-internet-flooding-RAM-smashing-puppy-kicking-hard-drive-warping-kitten-annoying level to something less horrific.
Actually, you all could STILL pick on me at your current level AND pick on Beal...but you need to remember that YOU DON'T PICK ON GANDALF!
Ummmmmmmmmmm...ok? |

One of the most awesome bands to come out of the 70's that never made it mainstream.
My group got to open a show for them towards the end of their career. Evans was gone but it was still a thrill! |
