Fasinating and clever.

I wonder about players like this. Are they playing from pure memory (this finger this fret -then- that finger that fret), or do they work on instinct? Do they hear the note in their head and just know where to go to find it?

"Over 1000 cuts" "6 hours of playing"
I'm sure the guy is very good, but ask him to sit down right now, right here and play that cos you want to tape it non-stop, then see what it sounds like.

I've heard there are guitar players that can actually read music and play it on guitar. Not tabs, not little drawings of chords, but notes on a staff.
I assume it's possible, because I've seen people do it with pianos, horns, reeded instruments and other stringed instruments, but never with a guitar.

Uh, those are called "Classical" guitarists with them wide, flat neck guitars.
They kill cats to make the strings, and they hold their guitars funny.

If we're such great guitar players and comedians, what are we doing here?
Maybe that's why Cliff quit posting. Making too much money doing standup comedy with a guitar. Adults only, so he can't use it on us.
