I recently posted several items for sale on my local Craigslist, and I was suprised how quickly all the responses came in. The problem however came as I reviewed them and found there were a large number of scammers trying to send me money orders and cashiers checks. I wish there were a way to set these type of scam junkies up for an arrest. So far the only thing I could think of was to ask for a phone number and address... nobody responded to that request.

I consider the use of CL to be local only and not to include shipping options. Ebay is the World market.

That is hilarious G8! I wish I had that kind of time on my hands. I would only deal locally and direct on a CL deal, or have someone I know in another aera do the go-between.

If you enjoy that guys work against scammers, check out this thread from back in 2007. He strung a scammer along and completely and mercilessly screwed with him for 2 months before dropping the bomb on him. It's a long thread, but it's hilarious!

PRS Custom Archtop Scam

I especially like the photos of his dog.

Thanks for the link, DZ. That was incredibly funny. I was laughing out loud, then totally lost it on the dog photos. Don't know the writer on the PRS forum, but he was very clever.
