Location: Newington, CT | Waaaaaaaayyyy back at the beginning of this year, someone asked everyone what goals they had in mind to accomplish for 2010...
My goal was something along the lines of "putting together enough material to make a CD and a gig act." I didn't get there.
Oh, I have enough material, but none of it is CD- or gig-worthy.
What I ended up accomplishing is finding out what I want to do for the first CD, or the first gig, when they eventually see the light of day. That's a nice piece of knowledge to have, but it was something that I was hoping to knock off as a step on the way earlier on.
Oh, well...I'm a single daddy, and personal time is frequently hard to come by, so I'm content with being able to say that I learned at least that.
So, the goal of putting together enough material for a CD and a gig is for 2011.
You? What do YOU hope to accomplish -- guitar-wise -- for 2011? |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | One more guitar for sure, more like a holdover from 2010, possibly a second if it should ever become available. No more amps. Maybe a few string changes more often. Possibly a few more presets programmed on the Zoom. New sod in the front yard, and another zone added to the front yard sprinklers. Finally, another year closer to retirement. |

I did learn a few more songs and improved the short game, so those resolutions were kept somewhat. I hope the new year remains dull. |

Did not put together a demo for the bar band yet, so 2 for 3.
I'm good with that. |

Good luck in 2011 dude.

I just addressed the 2011 resolution issue on another forum and my post was to play more and buy less. And to put more wear on my Telecaster in one year than I have in the previous 32 years. |

For 2011 I resolve not to ever try that again. |

I like that Play More Buy Less idea, Daddy.

| Well, so mine are:
To continue learning the rest of "Jesus Christ Superstar"
Have at least five songs that I can do well at an open mike night.
Not have open mike fright.
Attempt another OFC gathering in Woodstock (probably in the spring/early summer).
Get an amp for the 02 Collectors
Go back to school again.
Lose weight (I've already lost some weight and would like to continue on my losing weighs).
