| That's the gayest guitar I've ever seen.
Makes moody's pink Daisy Rock look macho.
Happy New Year. |

I'm sure it's a great guitar but I'l wait for my Adi/Madi |

Happy New Year. It's Witko who likes the pink Daisy Rock guitars. But I agree about the Tak. Don't care for it at all. It seems like all the special guitars out of Tak look like they were designed by the japanese for the japanese. The EF75 (or whatever it was) was the exception to the rule.... |

It was just a drive by. I knew somebody sometime said something nice about Daisy Rock. If you weren't so freakin' big you wouldn't be such a target.
SWMBO mentioned CA as a possible destination next summer. |

I had a NEX Tak once, it was okay...
It had a tuna and a case and it only cost $285. :p |

I think inlaying shell and ribbon is kinda cool ... sorta like the kimono cloth last year. The Koi is an interesting theme and I'd like to see it in person because it seems you never can really appreciate Taks until you have them in your hands. The detail and quality of their inlays always astound me. I'm sure it sounds great too since they always put that first, and art is art. If you're gonna have a limited edition, might as well do something that is totally a one-off instead of something that is just a boring jumbled up mixture of something you've already got.
I turned my head sideways and looked at it from the playing position ... I think Tak laid it out so that is the best perspective for appreciating the artwork and the flow.
Then again, I DO like outies much better too.
Oh yeah ... Schroeder, pay closer attention. It was Witko who likes Daisy Rock. Moody is a Hello Kitty guy. |

SWMBO mentioned CA as a possible destination next summer. You guys should come out next summer. Your voice is so damned weak that I can't hear you when you yell from England..... |

A gay Adamas maybe... |

That's standard takamine practice and in fact it actually looks really good in person, looking at the cut (and polished) end of the fretboard you get a CROSS SECTION of the whole board and inlays. On some of the more exotic ones like the EF75, 40th Ann, and 09 LTD its really stunning the "sandwich" that's 5 or 7 layers thick. |

I like it, very much; if it weren't for the shoulder issues I'd be in grave danger of wanting it (very much.) :(

I picked up # 24 of 60 this last Saturday...great guitar in all facets (playability, voice, pre-amp, quality, and striking beauty).
Only comment my wife had was why didn't you get two...fortunately, at that time, they only had one. :p
Check out the Takamine Forum for my other comments. Also have the Miyabi 2010 Ltd (in fact 3). |
