Location: Michigan | one of my favorite all around bands when i was coming into age was spirit.i always thought that they were the leaders into bringing jazz and some fusion style into to rock & roll . i just did a wikipedia search on them and what an interesting life they had . randy california drowned in hawaii surfing , but he saved his sons life , (mr. skin)
ed cassidy is still alive at 87 & on and on .
i wont bore you yapping about it but spirit was a great band and a big part of my interest in music .to this day their music still seems fresh(garbage) to me .GWB |

I had a good friend back in the mid 70's who was related to the band. Randy was only a few years older than me so it doesn't make me feel old at all. But his dad seemed ancient even back then ... he was like 10 years older than MY dad. |

Still one of my favs.
I saw them live at Liberty Hall in Houston many many years ago. Place held about 100 people. It was an awesome show and they played like there was 10,000. |
