This is the guitar that I purchased earlier. I didn't wanna re-open the original thread because it was in the For Sale Section.

Anyway I got the Flaming Pacemaker and it is not painted. It has Axe Wrap, Guitar Skin, or one of those products on it. And I sincerely hope that is is permanently attached. I know that you can just put them on with surface tension, like those clear pick-guards. They advertise them as easily changeable for electric guitars. But this one has it everywhere, including up the neck and on the headstock.

It is carefully split down the middle on the headstock

The vinyl covers cracks in the top. I won't know if they are through-n-through until I change the strings.

This has had a Bowl-Bend and the neck has glue at the joint.

But it sounds good and the action is nice with room to remove shims.

It will sound better once I clean-it-up, look inside, and put some 80/20's on there.
But now I got myself another beater Pacemaker. I will try to keep this one.

(Should be easy cuz people ain't gonna be beating down my door to buy it)

You sure don't see one like that everyday. Have fun with it...but then again it looks like you already are.

Remember... I used to own a Pacemaker. But I sold it and made an OFC'r very happy.

I had forgotten how LOUD Pacemakers are... Without even trying.

I might not even need an amp.

(If I do, I have a Bill Lawrence sound-hole pickup and an AXL suction-cup thingie)

Art,

I think it found you instead of you finding it!
I was flat broke when that one went up on Ebay but I thought about it.

You need to play some "Ghost Riders in the Sky" for me!

I just put eleven 80/20's on it.
(cuz I messed-up the high G, and had to substitute an electric .009 :p )
Now I gotta buy some more 12'r strings.

Changing a Pacemaker 12 is such an ordeal.
I know some people got it down to a science... I ain't one of them.

Woody, this was someone's BFLG project but it turned-out all right.
This is a '79 and woulda had a silver label if someone hadn't pulled it out.
It has a bit of "Bellying" going on, but it is still hanging in there.
I cleaned the fretboard and installed a bone saddle... So it is happy.

I will have to look up Ghost Riders... I cannot even remember the song, let alone Play It.

Substitute the lyrics of Amazing Grace to Ghost Riders tune and you'll draw a crowd.
People mostly goin' "HUH?!?!?!".

Art,

Pacemakers are simply superb sounding/playing acoustic 12'ers, aren't they? We went to a party over the holidays where everyone sung Christmas carols around a bonfire… no mere roaring flames nor crackling/popping logs could compete with my 1115! It was a wonderful evening… (although I'm not sure the skulls on yours would have gone over so well in that case…) ;)

Enjoy it!

You can try this version of Ghost Riders (and I think there's an Ovation there, check it out!).
