Location: Seattle | Thinking of upgrading my cc059 Nylon Ovation to a more upscale version. As I have never actually held/played/seen one, what features do other users consider:
>>Must have
>>Nice to have
>>Best value for the $$
Tops, Bowls, Old vs New etc.
The pics of the redwood one posted by Patch look interesting but on the opposite site of the cc059 pricing spectrum. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | To be honest (sorry, lovers of round) I would suggest you look at a Takamine TC-132sc. Myself and afew others around here have them and they can be had for around $600. It's a pretty traditional classical guitar with solid cedar top and rosewood back/sides. With cutaway. Plays and sounds wonderful and the cool tube pre-amp is just the cats arse, especially with the nylon strings.

Location: Connersville, Indiana | I have a Celebrity classical guitar. I use the D adario string on it, I know it's not the top dog of guitars. But it plays and sounds wonderful and full. It is a great guitar for finger picking which I do a lot of in the songs I write. It is a SSB with the op-20 in it. You know, you really should go to several music stores, play different kinds. Each one brings it's own mojo, find the one that you feel is good for you and play the hell out of it. Just a thought. |
