I always read this forum, but never post. But I have some questions I can't find answers to. I'm looking at an Applause AE 35 12 string. What do you guys know about them. The label says Ovation USA made in Korea. The serial number is 1006848. Is there anywhere on-line to research these? Thanks for any help. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | No way I know of to research them by serial number. I had one that served me well for years, but I don't use a 12 much. I sold it to a coworker when I got a deal on a Balladeer 12. I could not tell a significant difference in sound between the two of them. |

Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | OK, I've owned 3 Pacemaker 1115's, 1 CC255, & 1 AE35. All the pacemakers were head-and-shoulders above the other two. The action was better on the CC255, but the AE35 had a bigger "voice".
The AE35 has a laminated top, also. Might help with durability issues, under all that string tension.
I'd find a good deal on a Pacemaker, and never look back. |

Location: nashville | ditto on the pacemaker and their are a lot out there, much more than the ae35 i would bet. Just wait for a good one. I would post on the for sale page and ask who has a pacemaker for sale. |

Location: Utah | Can you inspect and play it before you buy it? $150 looks to be half of the current street price for a new one, so if it is in good shape the worst case would be trying to resell it if you don't like it, and probably being able to get about what you paid for it.
Does it come with a good case for that price? It doesn't appear that they come with a case new, at least from the 2 online retailers I glanced at.
For the money if it plays well and sounds nice to you, it would be a good value. |

Location: Torrington, CT | Picked up the AE35 on Sunday. It really is in new condition! Even has 12 brand new Grover tuners. Just needs a new set of strings (any suggestions?). It seems to be well worth the $150. One question: how do you change the battery? |
