The original 2080 is a spectacular guitar, I always thought the only way it could possibly be improved would be a hand-laid fiberglass bowl, suspended top, and maybe a slot-head. (Heck, add a boost button to that mix and Al thought of it a long time ago…) ;)
I'd like to try the new version, but it would have to be pretty magical to get me to consider "upgrading." |

The only way the new 2080 would be better would be with the 12 fret neck of the departed 1680. A slothead, wide neck 12 fret 2080 would be oh so cool.... |
