Well, the old 2080-NWT is listed as more expensive than the new 2080SR and includes a description which appears to actually be about a 1687, so who knows?
The original 2080 is a spectacular guitar, I always thought the only way it could possibly be improved would be a hand-laid fiberglass bowl, suspended top, and maybe a slot-head. (Heck, add a boost button to that mix and Al thought of it a long time ago…) ;)
I'd like to try the new version, but it would have to be pretty magical to get me to consider "upgrading." |
