The CraigsList Adamas arrived today: here are some pic's...

Ning Album: 1687-8 #190

It came with the original owners guide and Adamas story. I changed strings, adjusted the action by removeing two of three shims, restrung w/D'Addario's, and cleaned the entire guitar. Some observations: It is mono in very nice condition. Contrary to what the original owner's wife thought, their son obviously played this guitar: probably as late as 2000 judging from the dated Duracell battery; so it is not mint but not played to death either: it has some lifting of the clear coat around the epi's which is common...a badly corroded battery jack and loose ground wire to same...I will probably send this to the MS and have the electronics changed to the updated stereo FET. It came with two plastic Fender like volume knobs and is missing the original mono dot knobs. I put a set of the stereo Walnut Volume and Tone knobs on. Like #189 it is signed by Charlie and dated May 1978...Top Freq is 91.
It sounds great and is a genuine piece of history. I am happy to have it and will write up the story/history and put it in the case with the guitar. Enjoy the pic's...

Sounds like case candy for the soon-to-be next owner.

You know, one of the things that I really liked about about Adamii is that until the early 90's, the mounting ring was painted brown. By the time my Adamas I 12 was built in 94, they were black. But the brown gives it a more organic look.....
