Location: atlanta | My daughter Kaki begins an extensive North American tour today. The tour includes appearances at Mexico City and Vancouver British Columbia.
She'll be playing solo acoustic. Instruments include her signature Adamas, a Holloway harp guitar, a Veillette Gryphon miniature 12 string, a Russian style 7 string with fanned frets built by Andrew White, as well as other unusual instruments.
I hope some of you can catch one of her shows. OFC members are always welcome.

Location: atlanta | Colin, I'm hoping for an Atlanta show this fall, but we'll just have to see.
Btw, the miniature 12 string is a really interesting design. Here's a YouTube with Al Petteway demonstrating it:

I really liked them and would love to own one but they are not cheap! |

Location: Boise, Idaho | He actually told us that his manager told him there was nowhere to stop between Washington and Salt Lake City, so he got a better map and found Boise. He thinked us for being in the middle of nowhere. Most of us seemed quite proud of that.
Oh, his "tour bus" is usually a rental car. |

Location: atlanta | gulfcoast, I would very much like to see her do a "Deep South" tour of Florida, Mississipi, Alabama, and Georgia, of course. I have very little influence on when and where she tours, but I'll do what I can to influence her booking agents.
She did an "in-studio" live interview yesterday at WNYC, the flagship NYC PBS radio station. She talks about her signature Ovation, about the new tour, and plays several of her compositions on different instruments.
They've archived it at:

Location: Utah | I just listened to that interview, it's great! She talks about her Adamas and the lack of O love. I wish there was a video of her playing the songs in the studio. Now I have to find a way to go to one of her shows. |
