I just had my tonsils removed a few weeks ago and let me tell this....when you get older it is every bit as bad as they say it is......not a recommended fun time!!!

Anyway after being unable to function for a period of time I got totally bored this afternoon and decided to throw this together based on Jukebox Joes winning video.

I spent about 15 minutes on the vocals cause my voice is still really scratching and sore so after about the 3rd time through I basically lost my voice.

Final mix has not been done and since I could not improve on the vocals (at least for a couple more weeks apparently) I decided to just leave it as it is.

I make no apologies cause it is what it is but I did have fun this afternoon and it relieved my boredom.

And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make. I can feel the love.

Pretty outstanding for an afternoon of screwing around.

I got nervous when I saw the title to this thread! (I got relieved to hear it was a tribute to the Fab 4.)

Those aren't very straightforward songs. Great job! What did you use for the instrumental tracks? I'm currently working on a home made album with full arrangements (featuring the O, of course), and I love to hear what others are using for their tracks. (I'm using the Roland MV8800).

Rock on!

The drums were Abbey Road 70's through Kontact 4 on AxiomPro49.
Keyboards were Fab4 by EastWest using Play through AxiomPro49 and Korg TR.
The bass was an Ovation Magnum Fretless on Come Together and a Rickenbacker 4001C64S for Mean Mister Mustard.
Guitar was Warrior Signature through a '66 Fender Princeton.

DAW was Cubase 6 using various VST's on the different parts....Slate Digital VCC, UAD Studer A800, UAD Echoplex were the main ones.

But what we really want to know is who you hired to play them...

Darn nice, Stephen. Do you hire out engineering and production services?

John, the drums took more time than all the other parts combined times 2. Wish I could play a real set of the damn things instead of having to struggle with a keyboard.

Brad...always free for my locals!

Yeah, doing drums with a keyboard does suck.
You did a great job, Stephen.

+1. Drums (done right) take the most time. That's part of why I ended up with the older MV8800. The built in pads are perfect for a chest and steering wheel drummer like me.

Not yet. They're re-doing the inlay and a couple of other things (and one new surprise). I promise to post lots of pics (and new videos) when it comes to fruition! In fact, Stephen's ditty lit a fire under me to speed up my album (shooting for Christmas).

Thanks for asking! And thanks again, Stephen, for the killer Beatles medley!

McCartney phoned, he said 'Leave the vocals alone, it sounds real.'

Harrison said, 'Wilbury it in the mix!'

John said, 'Y'can't beat-less than that! Hey?'

Ringo said' 'Why program it? I'll sit in when I'm in town!'
