RIP country singer Ferlin Husky ("Gone" and "Wings of a Dove,") who died March 17 at the age of 85.

He charted more than 50 country hits, was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 and elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2010.

I didn't know who he was until your post, Stephen, but one of my favorite childhood musical memories is of my Parents playing guitar and singing 'Wings of a Dove'
It gives me a 'warm fuzzy' whenever I hear it.

I played a little tribute to him at LaSalle Deli in Collinsville CT.
I had a fiddle and Mando sit in with me...
