| Just before a gig my battery box came loose in my 1615 Pacemaker. While struggling to re-install with my arm through the sound hole, my rosette came right off the top, luckily in one piece. (This is odd as last year I had the guitar fully refurbished at mothership with a new top and all).
I'm sure I can glue it back into place , but need suggestions for the best type of glue. Thanks in advance, Murph |

| I've had rosettes lift (but not come away completely) and have used the thick cyanoacrylate (SuperGlue gel, e.g.) to glue it back down. The advantage to CyA is that it can be easily dissolved with acetone if you ever need to remove the rosette, say at the factory for a refinish job. |

Location: south east Michigan | Whatever you do, DON'T use Gorilla Glue. It expands and gets all foamy. |

Location: Caribou, ME | I made the mistake of using Duco cement one time. I figured since it was used for binding and worked well gluing plastic to non-plastic items it would be ideal.
Wrong!
It melted the imprint on the back side. It wasn't horrible, but it was visible up close. Good thing I didn't use any more than absolutely necessary because it would have made the black run even worse. |
