She recovered through a process of rest and hot and cold applications to the tendon. I spoke to her yesterday and urged caution, but she assured me that she is in fact "good to go."
So she may have ducked a bullet after all. Thanks to all of you for expressing concern, sympathy and best wishes.
Finest regards--

I couldn't help but notice that this good news came immediately after I extended my best wishes for a speedy recovery. Obviously, I claim credit for that recovery. Might be JUUUUUUST a little bit o'post hoc ergo propter hoc here...
Seriously though, great news! I hope all continues to go wonderfully well from here on. |

I had a close call many years ago when I was trying to learn how to ski. I caught a tip and took a bad fall. I thought I broke my ankle. while sitting on the ground the pain subsided and eventually went away. At that point I took the skis off and walk the rest of the way down the hill. I learned there that if the sport didn't involve sneakers or cleats I wasn't going to try it. |

Last night she played the Birchmere in Alexandria VA. In this YouTube she plays her Holloway harp guitar (Stephen Bennett signature model); the tune is Michael Hedges' "Because It's There":
