THis thing looks sweet! (but a bit pricey)

Location: Jet City | Man, I figured someone here would like that thing.
I thought it looked cool, but it could be because it looks so different than anything I have.
The more I look at it though, the more I wish there was less black.
I REALLY like that 3 piece back though. |

Location: Jet City | Like I'd be buying something like this anyway. If I had this sorta dough, it would be going to Mr Big for an 08 collectors, or that Koa beauty, prolly the 12 fret since it's something I don't have. |

i wouldn't buy black acoustic in my life. i want to see wood, and with black paint you never see what you get. |

| Very few guitar makers can do a burst that looks pretty, Ovation being one of them. That has got to be the fugliest burst I've ever seen. If I'd payed for a custom and gotten that I'd have been pissed. |

Collings and Ovations make the best bursts! |

Location: North Carolina | When I was first started playing back in the early sixties, the cheap imports had certain features like zero frets, white bound fretboards, pearloid tuning knobs and sunburst tops. Consequently , I have an aversion to all of them, despite the fact that all are found on some seriously high end instruments. In fact, I have some of these things on my various guitars - except a sunburst top. |

Location: GA USA | As far as the teardrop, it gives a definite Gibson look, and I'd say Gibson is the company that has it down perfect. If I were to be really picky, the teardrop on my Balladeer was the least bit lopsided, and Woody's has a bit of a funny look to it too. The VXT teardrops are good, but not much character to them.
I see beautiful bursts (IMHO) on Les Pauls and Strats all the time. |
